Chef/Proprietor Robbie Burns is a local man who has honed his culinary skills over 15 years in some of Ireland's finest establishments such as Fallon & Byrne, Mount Juliet and Bon Appetite. His menu is inspired by the seasons and the locally sourced ingredients that are abundant from both land and sea around the Fingal area.
Overseeing professional, yet relaxed friendly service, Restaurant Manager Ian Montgomery has over 20 years experience in the Hospitality Industry. A native of County Antrim, Ian moved to Swords in 2007 to manage the Osborne at Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links.

At Essence Bistro, our sole aim is to create a dining experience that is born from the marriage of quality ingredients, respectful techniques and sound understanding.
The cooking style at Essence is always thought provoking, bold and innovative and we use only the freshest locally sourced ingredients from suppliers who share our drive, ambition and our philosophy on food.
The early bird menu is available from 5.30pm to 10pm Tuesday to Friday & 5.30pm to 7pm Saturday and 2pm - 9pm on Sunday. Excellent value at €20 for two courses or €25 for a three-course meal.
