Malahide Castle and Gardens is one of the oldest castles in Ireland, set on 260 acres, this magnificent & historic 12th century castle has been home to the Talbot family for over 800 years.
Malahide Castle is steeped in history and has many facinating stories of the decendants who lived here. A brand new interactive exhibition area is located on the ground floor of the castle, upon entering visitors will enjoy meandering their way around the caverned exhibition where the history of the Talbot Family is retold , not forgetting their ghostly residents, before embarking on a guided tour throughout the reception rooms of this magnificent landmark!
The exhibition focuses on key family members and share some very personal glimpses of life in the castle; and an understanding of how the Talbot legacy impacted on all who have lived and visited here.
Malahide Castle & Gardens is open daily from 9.30am - 4.30pm.
The last guided tour of the castle is at 3.30pm (Nov-Mar)
