Malahide Yacht Club
Malahide is a picturesque town, whose sheltered estuary and large marina( www.malahidemarina.net) are among the major attractions, especially for visiting boats looking for safe anchorage. Malahide Yacht Club (MYC), formed in 1958, has been one of the most prolific clubs in the country over the years, in terms of national championships won and the number of Olympic representatives since the early ‘70s.
A keelboat fleet sails in the tidal waters of the outer estuary while dinghies compete in the inland Broadmeadow Water west of the Dublin-Belfast railway line. The clubhouse sits on the southern shore of the estuary overlooking the Island Golf Club with views of the marina and Lambay Island.
