Howth Yacht Club

Howth Yacht Club, established in 1895, is not only the biggest sailing club in Ireland but with 2,200 members (and growing), it is also the single biggest sports club in Fingal. It has an active year-round programme of dinghy and keelboat racing for senior and juniors, an enthusiastic cruising group and a 300-boat marina which is a popular stop-over for visiting yachts from around the world.

Howth Yacht Club has a global reputation for hosting major national and international championships and in 2010 will be the venue for the Etchells Class World Championships which will attract up to 200 top-class sailors to Howth in late August. It has already been booked to host a European Championship in 2011 and another World Championship two years later.
